Ferrari Roma.
Matte Red PPF.
An expressive finish for an unmistakable silhouette. A closer look at the Roma’s matte red transformation at Signature Customs.

Matte red. Sculpted lines. A Ferrari Roma with a different presence. This Signature Customs project brings a low-sheen PPF finish to one of Ferrari’s most elegant coupes, pairing a striking red exterior with the car’s black wheels, dark glass and distinctive bodywork.
The result is a finish that draws attention to the Roma’s shape rather than overwhelming it. From the long hood to the rear haunches, the red surface carries soft highlights that reveal the design from every angle. It is an approach for owners who want their vehicle to feel personal without losing the character that made them choose it.
Why matte red suits the Ferrari Roma
The Roma’s flowing surfaces give a matte finish room to work. Across the hood, subdued reflections emphasize the raised contours and sweeping front end. Along the doors and rear quarters, the red transitions between brighter highlights and deeper shadows, giving the coupe visual depth without a mirror-like shine.
Black wheels and lower trim provide contrast, while the Ferrari badges remain unmistakable against the red bodywork. The three project views show how the same finish reads differently across the front, side and rear. That consistency matters: a successful finish should look considered from more than one camera angle.

PPF: appearance with a protective purpose
PPF stands for paint protection film. Unlike choosing a finish solely for its appearance, selecting PPF brings protection into the conversation. These films are designed to help shield covered surfaces from everyday hazards such as stone chips and minor surface abrasions. The level of protection, available finishes and maintenance requirements depend on the particular film.
A matte PPF project can change how a vehicle’s paint presents while adding a protective layer over the covered bodywork. That does not make a car scratch-proof or immune to damage. For any installation, film selection and coverage should be matched to the vehicle, its existing paint condition and the owner’s expectations.

A closer look at the finished project
The front three-quarter view brings together the matte red hood, Ferrari shield, black wheel and slim headlight. The head-on view highlights the hood’s symmetry and the contrast around the grille. From the rear, the finish follows the curved quarters and sloping roofline, with dark trim framing the red bodywork.
These photographs were taken in the Signature Customs workshop and professionally retouched for presentation. The focus is the finish itself: the way its restrained sheen complements the Roma’s proportions and keeps the design recognizable.
